A Family Tradition
In 1967, Robert V. Burns purchased the office building at 638 Wood Street in
Clarion, Pennsylvania and founded the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home. Today, Bob
still frequents the Burns Funeral Home and his son, Rollie carries on the
day-to-day operations.

Rollie Burns, Funeral Director
Rollie is a life-long resident of Clarion. He attended the Immaculate Conception Grade School, Clarion Area and Clarion-Limestone High Schools and Clarion University. He graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1994. He then joined the funeral home and became partner with his father. In 1997, he succeeded his father’s business after his father’s retirement. Rollie is a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Knight’s of Columbus, Clarion Fire and Hose Co. 1, Masonic Lodge 277, Clarion County Shrine Club, the Eagles Club, the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 101, Clarion Lion’s Club, and the Clarion VFW. Rollie served as the Clarion County Coroner for eight years. He is also the owner of the R.V. Burns Crematorium, Inc. He resides in Clarion with his wife, Tammy, and three daughters, Amanda, Alissa, and Anna.

Bob Burns, Funeral Director
Bob was born and raised in Clarion. He attended the Immaculate Conception
Grade School, Clarion Area High School, and Clarion University. He graduated
from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1961. In 1967, he purchased
the building that formerly was the medical office of Dr. WA Ketner and founded
the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home. Bob semiretired in 1997 and relocated to
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Bob is a member of the Immaculate Conception
Church and Moose Lodge 101. He also served as the Clarion County Coroner for 20
years. He resides in Myrtle Beach and works part-time for McMillan-Small Funeral
Home.

Megan Levy, Funeral Director
Megan is from New Bethlehem. She graduated in 2003 from Redbank Valley High School and attended Clarion University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2007. In September 2008, she graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Megan is a member of First Church of God in New Bethlehem and on the board committee of the United Way of Clarion County.

Brian Silvis, Funeral Director
Brian is originally from Marienville. He graduated from East Forest High School in 2004 and attended Clarion University. In January 2009, Brian graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Brian is a member of the Moose Lodge 101, the Eagles Club, Clarion Fire and Hose Co. 1, and Clarion VFW. He resides in Clarion with is wife, Shana.
