TRADITIONAL FUNERAL SERVICE

Many families in our area choose to say their last goodbyes through a Traditional Funeral Service with family and friends. A traditional funeral service is when your loved one is present and usually includes a viewing or visitation and formal funeral service that can be held in our funeral home or at a church. Typically a time of visitation will precede the funeral ceremony. A visitation is a time when family and friends are invited to view the deceased and pay their last respects. Along with the visitation and funeral services, this service package includes the use of a hearse to transport the remains to the funeral site and cemetery, and burial, entombment or cremation of the remains. In addition to the professional services, embalming and preparation, use of the funeral home for the viewing or service or staff services for church services, and all transportation is included. The costs of a casket and burial vault, urn or other container, cemetery plot, and other funeral goods and services must be purchased additionally.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

A Memorial Service is a service without a visitation and the remains of your loved one are not present at the time of the service. The memorial service is a time to commemorate the life of your loved one. This ceremony can be held at the funeral home or a church. This service package includes professional services, use of funeral home facilities or staff services for church service, and all transportation. The costs of a casket, burial vault, urn or other container, cemetery plot, and other funeral goods and services must be purchased additionally.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE

Selecting a Graveside Service meets the needs of families who need to view the body to gain closure and begin healing, and wish to avoid the formality associated with a Traditional Funeral Service. Families gather at the grave site where a brief ceremony is held to honor the memory of the deceased. This service package includes professional services, all transportation, and tent rental at cemetery. The costs of a casket and burial vault, cemetery plot, and other funeral goods and services must be purchased additionally.

DIRECT BURIAL

Direct Burial is when burial occurs shortly after death. No viewing or visitation is involved, so no embalming is necessary, although a memorial service is often held at the funeral home or graveside. Package includes basic facilities and professional services, all transportation and care of remains, as well as assistance with obituaries, insurance, social security, veteran forms. The costs of a casket and burial vault, cemetery plot, and other funeral goods and services must be purchased additionally.

DIRECT CREMATION

Direct Cremation is when cremation occurs shortly after death, without embalming. The cremated remains are placed in an urn or other container. No viewing or visitation is involved, although a memorial service may be held at the funeral home or the church, with or without the cremated remains present. Package includes professional services, removal and care of the remains, transportation to crematory, and cremation. The cremated remains can be buried or placed in a crypt or niche in a cemetery or kept by the family. The costs of an urn or other container and other funeral goods and services must be purchased additionally.

FORWARDING OF REMAINS TO OR RECEIVING REMAINS FROM ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME

Death sometimes occurs unexpectedly. If a death occurs locally and it is necessary to conduct services elsewhere, we are able to handle the initial preparation and transport the remains to another funeral home for services. Likewise, we are also able to handle the arrangements if a death occurs out of town or out of state and it is necessary to return them home for a visitation, service, or disposition.
