Brenda L. Schwab

Brenda L. (Brown) Schwab, 59, of Sligo, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 18, 2025 following an unexpected illness. She was born on May 2, 1966 in Clarion to the late Theodore Hilton and Bernice Belle Ferringer Brown. Brenda graduated from Clarion Area High School where she met the love of her life and best friend, Charles “Chuck” Schwab. They were married on August 12, 1989 and shared 35 beautiful years of marriage together. Brenda attended Grace Community Church in Curllsville and was a member of the Clarion County Campers where she loved going and hanging out with family and friends. She was the best wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her and had a loving, compassionate, and kind soul that cared for every person in her life. Brenda actively helped Chuck with his business, Unique Fabrications Inc. in Shippenville and enjoyed watching sunsets on their hill with him, buggy riding, shopping at Hobby Lobby and Maurices, working on crafts with her sisters, and decorating her home. She was also an avid collector of shoes, clothes, jewelry, and all things antique and had a profound love of spending time with and taking care of her dog, Kosmo and “grand” dog, Luna. In addition to her husband, Brenda is survived by her daughter, Brianna (Benjamin) Dehart of Sligo and her soon to be grandson, Kayce Dehart; 4 siblings, Lee (Linda) Brown of Huey, Trudy (Carl) Larson of Clarion, Ted Brown of Limestone, and Bonnie (Joe) Reed of Sligo; a brother-in-law, Eric (Diane) Schwab of New Bethlehem; and 2 sisters-in-law, Beth (Robert) Miller of Lititz and Lisa (Jeremy) Horton of Sayre. She is also survived by 2 special nephews, Robert (Rebecca) Greenawalt and Joey Reed; 4 special nieces, Holly (Zane) Skinner, Anna Reed, Madeline Sandford, and Shelly (Rick) Atzeni; and a great-niece, Adleigh Skinner; along with numerous other nieces and nephews and her lifelong best friend, Buffy (Dave) Hook. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herman and Judy Schwab; a special son, Chad Renwick; a sister, Margaret “Peggy” Renwick; her brothers, Gary Brown, Rodney Brown, and John Brown; and a nephew, David Clark. Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. Additional viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the Grace Community Church in Curllsville where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Pollock presiding. Interment will take place in the Sligo Cemetery.
