Casey D. Skinner

Casey D. Skinner, 38, of Germantown, Maryland (formerly of Clarion, PA) passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at his home. He was born on September 22, 1981 in Clarion; he was the son of Roger Skinner of Knox Dale and Brenda Henderson Nellis of Strattanville. Casey was a graduate of Clarion Limestone High School. Casey devoted his life to fitness and health, and he enjoyed his job as a personal bodybuilding and fitness trainer. He loved working out, riding his bike, playing basketball, and could often be found taking electronics apart and putting them back together. He enjoyed standup comedians, especially Bill Burr and Bert Kreischer, and listening to all kinds of music - Sublime and Dirty Heads were among his favorites. He loved to learn and was always reading, researching and listening to podcasts. Casey left an indelible mark on everyone he met, and he loved his friends and family fiercely. He was always there with an ear to listen and a solution to every problem. He was a caring, intelligent, funny man and he will be terribly missed. Casey is survived by his parents; his girlfriend: Nicole Frye of Germantown, MD; his siblings: Corey Skinner and his fiancé Samantha Huey of Cherry Hill and Niki Smith and her husband Dave of Jessup, MD, his nieces and nephews: Tiffany, Madison, Aiden, Mackenzie, and Rilee “Ri-brat”; his maternal grandmother: Thelma Henderson of Clarion; his paternal grandparents: Haley and Lois Skinner of New Bethlehem; and his beloved pets: his dog, Lola; and cats, Bub and Luna “Fat”. Also, a special mention to his second mum: Jenn Eustice and her children: Heather Eustice Hollis and Dan Eustice, all of Clarion. He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Clark Henderson and his uncle: Randall Skinner. We find peace in knowing Casey is now with his unborn child who was lost in 2008. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion, 638 Wood Street.
