Celestine V. Hargenrader

Celestine V. Hargenrader, 84, of Lake Park, FL, formerly of Clarion, died, Thursday, August 18, 2011, at Hospice in Palm Beach County, following a short illness. Born March 7, 1927, in Clarion, she was the daughter of late George and Celestine Hartle. She was married June 14, 1948 to Edward A. Hargenrader, who preceded her in death in 1999. Sis, as she was known by many, attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Clarion. She was known for her wonderful baking skills, as she worked for many years at the Clarion University and Phillips Bakery. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church before moving to Florida, and then she became a member of St. Clare Catholic Church in North Palm Beach, FL. Sis loved to be around family. Her greatest joy was her family, bingo, and the lottery. She always hoped that one day she would win the big jackpot, so she could take care of her family. She loved all her children very much. Surviving are seven children, Gary Hargenrader and his wife, Linda, of Warrensburg, MO, Mike Hargenrader and his wife, Jody, of Sligo, PA, Lynne Boles and her husband, Michael, of Kissimmee, FL, Jane Eckler and her husband Wally, of Lake Park, FL, Elaine Ansick and her husband, Fred, of Clifton, VA, Rita Eulas and her fiancé’ Gary Vazquez, of Titusville, FL, Alan Hargenrader and his wife, Sandra, of Tequesta, FL, daughter-in-law, Dr. Cindy Hargenrader, of Rochester, MN, 17 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Butch Hartle and his wife Nancy of Franklin, PA, Harold Hartle and his wife Mary Ann of Franklin, PA, and one sister, Romaine Frattura of Atlantic City, NJ. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Edward A. Hargenrader, Jr. on July 1, 2011, three brothers, Gene, Pat, and George, and one sister Caroline. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm, Monday, August 22, 2011 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion, PA A Christian wake service will be held at 8:30 pm on Monday, August 22, 2011, in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarion with Rev. Monty Sayers, pastor of the Immaculate Conception Church, presiding. Entombment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum in Clarion.
