Nancy E Workman

Nancy Ellen Workman, 78, of Sligo and most recently the serenity House of Shippenville, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Serenity House. She was born on July 10, 1937 in Conneration, PA; daughter of the late Wayne Custer and Mildred V. Conner Randolph. Nancy was married to William Joseph Workman, who preceded her in death. She was recruited out of high school by the government as one of the top five typists in the nation and moved to Washington DC. In later years she was also a secretary, banker, and was always a homemaker. Nancy was a member of the Mount Hope Church of Conneration. She enjoyed cooking for others and dining out with her family. She had a passion for baseball and playing cards that she shared with her friend, Raymond Myers, who also preceded her in death. Nancy had a genuine kindness and a smile that would light up a room. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Pacifico and husband Ralph of Roaring Spring, Patricia Bell and husband Dee of New Bethlehem, a sister, Ruthann V. Terwilliger of Parker, her grandchildren, Kristin Smith and husband Chad of East Freedom, Natalie Simmers and husband Manford, and Sarah Kuntz, all of Roaring Spring, Misty Marsh and husband Virgil of Rimersburg, Samantha Bell of New Bethlehem, and Alexandra Bell of Butler, and her great grandchildren, Callie Smith, Brynn and Aiden Simmers, and Mitchell, Clayton, Kira, and Gavin Marsh. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Lawson G. Randolph and James L. Randolph, and one infant grandson, Patrick Bell. Family will receive friends from 4 pm to 6 pm on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the Burns Funeral Home and Crematorium Inc. in Rimersburg. Funeral Services will be held at 6 pm in the Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Evans pastor of Clarion Forest VNA. Interment will follow in the Mount Hope Church of Conneration Cemetery.
