Virginia McCall

Virginia “Ginny” McCall, 83, of Clarion, was called home to Heaven on Monday, November 18, 2013. Born June 18, 1930 in Limestone Twp.; she was the daughter of Amos and Golda Bigley Reynolds. Ginny was married on April 30, 1951 to R. Dean McCall, who preceded her in death on January 28, 2007. She was a beloved mother, devoted grandmother, enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, and loved feeding and watching her birds. Ginny was a lifetime member of the New Rehoboth Greenville Presbyterian Church in Clarion. She was also a member of the American Cancer Society, Presbyterian Women’s Association, and New Rehoboth Quilters. She traveled abroad doing volunteer missionary work in Haiti and visited missions in Kenya, East Africa, and the Dominican Republic. Surviving are her stepmother, Ethel Reynolds of Brookville; five children, Christina McCall of Brookville, Terry McCall and his wife, Amy, of Strasburg, Karen Lord and her husband, Skip, of Hubbard, OH, John McCall and his wife, Jennifer, of Clarion, and Mary Beth Stewart and her husband, Brad, of Brockway. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, Matthew McCall, Margret McCall, Michael McCall, Luke Lord, Zack Lord, Christina Lord, Katelyn McCall, Megan Lovelace, Alicia Kanouff, Olivia Stavinoha, Jessica Webster, and Robert Stewart; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Doris Williams of Clarion and a step-sister, Pat Berlin of Brookville; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandson, Mark McCall; and five siblings, Mary Crick, Irene Stewart, Evelyn McEntire, Eleanor Clark, and Donald Reynolds. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013, at the New Rehoboth Greenville Presbyterian Church, Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013, at the New Rehoboth Greenville Presbyterian Church, Clarion, with Rev. James Dietrich, pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in the New Rehoboth Church Cemetery. Memorials and donations can be made to the New Rehoboth Quilters or the New Rehoboth Cemetery Association. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at the Robert V.
