Albert A. Selker, 78, of 27 Campbell Avenue, Clarion, died on Monday, November 21, 2011, of natural causes at is home. Born May 15, 1933, in Clarion; he was the son of the late Leopold G. and Katherine V. Hartle Selker. A veteran, he served in the Army during the Korean War. Mr. Selker was married on August 23, 1958, to the former Emma Lou Niederriter, she survives. Albert A. Selker, 78, of 27 Campbell Avenue, Clarion, died on Monday, November 21, 2011, of natural causes at is home. Born May 15, 1933, in Clarion; he was the son of the late Leopold G. and Katherine V. Hartle Selker. A veteran, he served in the Army during the Koran War. Mr. Selker was married on August 23, 1958, to the former Emma Lou Niederriter, she survives. He retired after 50 years from Selker Bros, where he worked as a salesman. Mr. Selker was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Richard A. Selker and his wife, Patty, of Bridgeville; Phil J. Selker and his wife, Bonnie, of Virginia; and Albert A. Selker Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Wisconsin; and seven grandchildren, Anna, John, Glenn, Stephanie, Ted, Luke, and Kristi. Also surviving is a brother, C. Raymond Selker of Clarion. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leo Selker and Bernard Selker; and two sisters, Helen Rea and Veronica Polatty. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011, in the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post #66 at 10:45 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011, at the Immaculate Conception Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011, in the Immaculate Conception Church with Rev. Monty Sayers, pastor of the Immaculate Conception Church, presiding. Interment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
