Clyde M. Corbett

Clyde M. Corbett, 89, of Clarion passed away Monday evening, July 11, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Shippenville. He was born on June 1, 1927 in Big Run, PA; son of the late Forest C. and Nellie M. Stahlman Corbett. Clyde was married to Marie Campbell, who preceded him in death. He worked 44 years with FC Corbett and Sons Plaster Business and CM Corbett and Son Ceramic Tile Business. Clyde also worked for Lycoming Construction, AJ Jones Construction, and Bracken Construction and retired from Colt Resources. Clyde was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Clarion until it closed. He was an avid golfer, loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. Clyde also loved maintaining his property. In his earlier years he was a licensed pilot. Clyde is survived by one son, Donald Corbett and his wife Linda of Parker, one daughter, Pam Best and her husband Kevin “Peach” of Shippenville, his companion, Illona Miller of Clarion, seven grandchildren, Lori Landrith of Clarion, Mark Corbett and his wife Peggi of Guys Mills, Tiffany Best and her companion Clint Buterbaugh of Ford City, Tannya Best and her husband Rob of Aliquippa, Tina Ferringer Cotherman and her husband Bryan of Strattanville, Johnny Ferringer of Clarion, and Tracy Deas and her husband Joe of Strattanville, six great grandchildren, Gage M. and Caylob W. Best, Nikki and Krystin Corbett, Tim Ferringer, and Deion Deas, and one sister Katherine Hartman and her husband Robert of Curllsville. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, Chuck and Mark Corbett, and a great granddaughter, Alyssa Landrith. As Clyde’s request there will be no public visitation. Funeral Services will be private with the Rev. Tom Hannold presiding. Interment will be at the Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattanville. Arrangements are being completed by the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. Memorials or Donations can be made to the family or to the Funeral Home to help with Expenses.
