Donald B. Stiglitz Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donald B. "Smoke" Stiglitz, 49, of Sligo, passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, March 18, 2009, at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.Born April 17, 1959, in Clarion, he was the son of Donald L. and Darla Kay Smathers Stiglitz of Sligo.He graduated from Keystone High School in 1978.Mr. Stiglitz worked at the 68 Bar in Rimersburg.He was of the Catholic faith.Mr. Stiglitz was a member of the Eagles Club in Clarion.He enjoyed watching wrestling, races, and football. He also enjoyed working outside and spending time with his nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Dennis Stiglitz and his friend, Lisa Heasley, of Fairmount City; and two sisters, Debra Graham and her friend, Jim McCall, of Knox, and Donna Gallagher and her husband, Mike, of Sligo.He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Toni and Kolton Stiglitz, John Graham and his friend, Kelly Evans, Jason Graham and his friend, Kristi Horner, Jayme Graham, Tim Gallagher and his friend, Breah Ditto, and Tara Gallagher.He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bob Graham; a niece, Lauren Stiglitz; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Stiglitz and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Manuell.A private funeral service for family will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion with Monsignor Jan Olowin, pastor of the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Emlenton, officiating.Interment will be held at the Knox Union Cemetery in Knox.Family suggests that donations be made to the Clarion County Mental Retardation Administration, 214 South 7th Avenue, Clarion, 16214.
