John Aloysius Quinn III Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

John “Jackie” Aloysius Quinn III, 35, of Shippenville, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012, at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born December 14, 1976, in Clarion; he was the son of John A. Quinn II and Doreen Pugliese Quinn of Shippenville. Jackie was a 1995 graduate of Kiski Prep School. He played track and football for Keystone High School and Kiski Prep. He was also a member of the National Debate Team. He then attended Emory University in Atlanta, GA for three years, where he was All Conference for Track in triple and long jump. Jackie then worked on a ship for the Crystal Cruise Line where he traveled to Bali, Singapore, and around Australia. Following that he was an assistant in an architecture design firm in Los Angeles, CA. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion. Jackie enjoyed spending time with his family and his nieces and nephews. He never wavered in helping to take care of his sister and her five children after her Cancer diagnosis. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Kelly Quinn Brown and her husband, Matthew, of Manhattan, NY; five nieces and nephews, Steven Barchetti, Lorenzo Barchetti, Kieffer Barchetti, Francesca Barchetti, and Helena Blatnica; and maternal grandparents, Pete and Erminia Pugliese of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his sister, Natalie Quinn Blatnica, and paternal grandparents, John A. Quinn and Bertha Mort. There is no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2012, in the Immaculate Conception Church, Clarion, with Rev. Monty Sayers, pastor of the Immaculate Conception Church, presiding. Memorials and donations can be made to the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital ICU, 200 Lothrop Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
