M. Bernadette Reynolds

M. Bernadette Reynolds, 89, of Summerville, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Laurelbrooke Landing in Brookville. She was born on April 28, 1928 in Limestone Township; daughter of the late James B. and Josephine Aaron Carlos. Bernie married Earl D. Reynolds on June 14, 1949, and he preceded her in death. She worked at Owens Illinois Glass Plant in Clarion as Selecting Supervisor Secretary and Plant Manager Secretary, retiring in 1990. Bernie was a member of the Saint Nicholas Catholic Church in Crates, where she was Church Organist for 30 years. She was well known for catering weddings and Christmas parties. Bernie enjoyed time with family at her river cottage in Kennerdell. She also enjoyed the many cruises she went on with her husband Earl. Bernie is survived by three children, Randall E. Reynolds and his wife Marianne of Summerville, Martin J. Reynolds and his wife Barbara of Rimersburg, and Carlene A. Plucinski of Summerville, seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and four step great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James Edward Carlos and his wife Sarah of Tennessee. Bernie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant daughter, Shelly Elaine, and her step father, Roy Aiken. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Saint Nicholas Catholic Church in Crates with Rev. Samuel Bungo, pastor presiding.
