Robert R. Atzeni

Robert R. “Bob” Atzeni, 89, of Clarion, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Clarion Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on August 27, 1927 in Hamburg, PA; son of the late Sylvester Atzeni and Anna M. Kifer Atzeni Martin. Bob was an owner operator truck driver for over 50 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Bob’s one passion in life was flying; he attained a multiengine rating flying everything from twin engine to vintage tail draggers. He owned many different types and loved flying them all. He is survived by his children, Richard J. Atzeni and his wife Brenda of Sligo, Susan L. Atzeni and Renee Atzeni Dandrea both of Union Town, a grandson, Rick Atzeni and his wife Shelly of Sligo, a granddaughter, Rachel Dandrea of Union Town, and a great granddaughter, Hannah Atzeni of Sligo. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Elmer S. Atzeni, and a sister, Pearl Kifer. There will be no public visitation. Services will be private. The Burns Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc. in Rimersburg will be handling the arrangements.
