Angeline C. Mazzocchi

Angeline C. (Polite) Mazzocchi, age 90, of Shippenville, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, July 22, 2026. She was born on September 10, 1935, in Pittsburgh. Angie was among eight children of the late Joseph and Josephine Siciliano Polite. She graduated from Saint James Catholic School in Pittsburgh in 1953. Angie married the love of her life, Salvatore Mazzocchi, Sr., on February 23, 1954, and they shared fifty-two wonderful years of marriage until his passing on December 13, 2006. She was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy and life’s work was raising her six children. Angie poured her heart into creating a loving home and caring for her family, a role she embraced with unwavering dedication and pride. In her early years, Angie was employed as an operator for Bell Telephone, and later in life, she worked as a school cafeteria lunch lady. She was a faithful member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarion, and some of her hobbies included gardening, polka dancing, playing bingo, and spending time at the Clarion Senior Center, where she made many great friends. She leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Karen Mazzocchi of Shippenville; her children, Tony Mazzocchi and his wife, Brenda, of Shippenville, Armand Mazzocchi and his wife, Carol, of Brockway, Rosemarie Mazzocchi of Warren, Raymond Mazzocchi and his wife, Lisa, of State College, and Victor Mazzocchi and his wife, Terri, of Erie; thirteen grandchildren, Vincent Mazzocchi (Katie Henderson), Gina Mazzocchi (Curtis Girt), Anthony Mazzocchi (Sydney Simpson), Alissa Wallace (Dan), Joseph Mazzocchi (Keiko Horii), Nicholas Mazzocchi (Catherine Couturé), Maria Braem (David), Angela Mitchell (Josh Wilson), Sarah Mazzocchi (Nick Samoleski), Max Mazzocchi, Hannah Mazzocchi (Dan Zakrzewski), Cristina Mazzocchi (Matt Soder), and Andrea Mazzocchi; ten great-grandchildren, with one on the way; and her special friend, Bob Spangler of Shippenville. She is also survived by her brother, Anthony Polite of Canton, OH; her sister, Madeline Gramz of Pittsburgh; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Angie was preceded in death by her beloved son, Salvatore Mazzocchi, Jr.; three brothers, Ralph, Frank, and Bennie; and two sisters, Josephine and Marie. Family and friends will be received from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarion with Rev. Jason Feigh presiding. Interment will take place beside her husband at the Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Crown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Angeline’s honor to the Clarion Forest VNA Hospice, 271 Perkins Road, Clarion, PA 16214, or the Warren County Hospice House, 301 Quaker Hill Road, Warren, PA 16365.
