Blaine W. Booth

Blaine W. Booth, 92, of Strattanville, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, April 5, 2025 in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 30, 1933 in Limestone; son of the late Blaine Booth Sr. and Margaret Thomas Booth Smith. Following high school, Blaine enlisted in the United States Army proudly serving during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955. Blaine was married to the former Marilyn Rainey on April 27, 1956, who survives. They would have celebrated their 69th Anniversary this month. Blaine worked as a mechanic at the Ford Garage in Rimersburg and Clarion, retiring after over 30 years. His hobbies included restoring antique trucks, attending car shows, fishing and hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Blaine is survived by his 6 children, Thomas Booth and his wife, Donna, of Virginia, Brenda Bunch and her husband, Mark, of Strattanville, Melanie McCaslin and her husband, Steve, of Knox, Gary Booth and his wife, Kathy, of Clarion, Blaine Booth and his wife, Erin, of Colorado, and Chuck Booth and his wife, Angie, of New Bethlehem; 12 grandchildren, Madison Booth, Brandon (Steffi) Bunch, Justin Bunch, Tiffany (Brian) Mack, Keely (Brent) McCaslin, Andrea (Jesse) Shawgo, Scott (Destiny) Booth, Blaine (Melissa) Booth, Brett (Ashley) Booth, Taylor Booth, Samantha Booth, and Luke Booth; and numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 brothers, John Booth of Clarion, Bob Booth and his wife, Joann, of Clarion, and Ken Booth and his wife, Donna, of Arizona/Colorado; his sister, Luella Stroup and her husband, Don, of Clarion; and his sister-in-law, Ruth Booth of Strattanville; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Blaine was preceded in death by a grandson, Matt Booth; a great-grandson, Gabriel Shawgo; his brother, Newton Booth; 2 sisters, Mary Hurrelbrink and Maxine Burford; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Booth. Family and friends will be received from 1 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion where Military honors will be accorded at 4:45 p.m. by the American Legion Post #066 of Clarion. Funeral Services will follow in the funeral home at 5 p.m. with Rev. Tom Young, pastor of the Williamsburg Community Bible Church of God in Clarion, presiding. Inurnment will take place at the Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattanville at a later date.
