Brenda L. Kapp

Brenda L. Kapp, age 65, of Miola, passed away peacefully following a fearless battle with pancreatic cancer on Monday evening, January 19, 2026, in the comfort of her own home with her beloved husband by her side. She was born on May 10, 1960, in Brookville to the late Russell and Joan Cyphert Lander. Brenda was a 1978 graduate of Keystone High School. She married the love of her life, Phil Kapp, on June 19, 2010, sharing over fifteen years of unconditional love together. Brenda worked as a cosmetologist at numerous places for twenty-five years, including Cokes Cutters, Tan-A-Shear, and Shear Shed. She also proudly owned and operated her own business in Clarion, Hair Logics by Brenda. She was a member of the Trinity Point Church of God in Clarion, where she and Phil also enjoyed attending Adult Sunday School. Brenda loved visiting with the elderly, whom she loved dearly, enjoyed flower gardening, and always looked forward to entertaining guests. Known for her grace and vibrant spirit, Brenda always approached life with infectious optimism. She was a recipient of a heart transplant, which enabled her to spend many more years with family and friends, a gift for which she expressed profound gratitude. Brenda was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering love and quiet strength. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son who was her pride and joy, Logan Chernicky of Cannonsburg; three step-children, Brianne Roth and her husband, Joel, of Cranberry Township, Brittany McBride and her husband, Travis, of Dubois, and Nate Kapp; and eight grandchildren, Makela and Luci Kapp, Mila, Bryce, and Khloe McBride, and Jace, Paige, and Eli Roth. Brenda is furthered survived by her five siblings, Cindy Black and her husband, Terry, of Knox, Donna Wilkinson and her husband, Jeff, of Gunnison, CO, Jodi Rhea and her husband, Doug, of Knox, Russ Lander and his wife, Julie, of Kossuth, and Chip Kellerman-Straitiff and her husband, Rick, of Strattanville; six nephews, Nathen, Jason, Jermy, Troy, Erik, and Ethan; one niece, Becca; and her mother-in-law, Virginia Kapp of Clarion. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Charles Kapp; a brother-in-law, Paul Kellerman; a nephew, Adam Lander; and many elderly friends. The Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion has the distinct honor of serving the family. Friends and family will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the Trinity Point Church of God in Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the church with Brenda’s brother-in-law, Rev. Jeff Wilkinson, presiding and Pastor Matt Snedden co-presiding. Private interment will follow at the Clarion Cemetery.
