Donna C. Shovestull-Buckner

Donna C. Shovestull-Buckner, age 57, of Strattanville, passed away unexpectedly due to natural causes on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie. She was born on August 8, 1969, in Clarion. Donna was one of two children of Linda L. Fagley Shovestull of Strattanville and the late Donald E. Shovestull, who preceded her in death on October 19, 2023. After graduating from Clarion Limestone High School in 1987, Donna continued her education at Clarion University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. She worked a variety of jobs throughout the years, living and working in several communities, including Baltimore, MD, and Warren, PA. Most recently, Donna worked part-time in the Strattanville Borough Administration, where she continued to contribute her time to the community. Donna was Catholic by faith and a member of the American Legion Post #066 Ladies Auxiliary in Clarion. She loved reading and traveling, no matter the distance. Donna cherished time with her family and friends and especially enjoyed playing card games with her mom, with whom she shared a special bond. Throughout her life, Donna faced health challenges with remarkable strength and positivity. She never allowed them to diminish her joy for life, embracing each day with determination. Donna never met a stranger and was truly a people person. She had a kind and generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her compassion and genuine love for others touched so many lives, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. In addition to her beloved mother, Donna leaves behind her brother, Paul Shovestull; her nephew, Kris (Sasha) Minich; her niece, Becca (Shaun) Pettit; and great-nieces and nephews, Keagan, Charleigh, Hayden, and Paul. She also leaves behind her goddaughter, Shallah (Justin) Amato and their son, Wyatt; and her best friend, whom she considered her sister, Kristie Rhoades. In addition to her father, Donna was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Shari Shovestull. Family and friends will be received from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion, where funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Jason Feigh, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarion, presiding. Inurnment will take place at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
