Glenna R. McFadden

Glenna R. McFadden, of Highland Oaks, Shippenville, formerly of Strattanville, died on Friday, February 20, 2015, at Highland Oaks. Born June 24, 1929 in Bells Landing, Clearfield County; she was the daughter of the late Carey I. and Maude Woodel Ross. Glenna graduated in 1948 from Mahaffey High School, where she was Valedictorian. She was married on July 22, 1948, to W. Keith McFadden, who preceded her in death on December 8, 2008. Glenna was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, crafts, and spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her five children, Michael K. McFadden of Day City, Joyce A. Scalercio and her husband, Anthony, of Sewickley, Susan M. Schmader and her husband, Richard, of Strattanville, Jeffrey L. McFadden and his wife, Shelly, of Strattanville, and Becky J. Berrier and her husband, Matthew, of Carlisle; and fourteen grandchildren, Barry Wilson and his wife, Christine, Kelly McFadden and her fiancé, Colin, Ryan McFadden, Drew Scalercio, Alaina Kutcher and her husband, Jason, Marissa Scalercio, Cameron Speer and his wife, Heather, Alison Cannon and her husband, Tom, Richard Schmader and his wife, Loreli, Lisa Speer and her fiancé, Brett, Jessica McFadden, Jonna Gilliland and her husband, Mike, Amanda Berrier and her partner, Adam, and Greg Berrier and his wife, Cara; eleven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Betty Betta of DuBois and Margaret McFadden of Brockway; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant daughter; a sister, Ethelyn Marrocco; and three brothers, Dean Ross, Wendell Ross, and Rupert Ross. Family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015, in the funeral home with the Rev. Harold O. Jacobson, pastor of the Grace Lutheran Church in Clarion, officiating. Interment will be in Watts Cemetery, Clearfield County. Memorials and donations can be made to the Charitable Care Fund at Highland Oaks, 101 Maple Drive, Shippenville PA 16254. Family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015, in the funeral home.
