Linda J. Corbett

Linda J. Corbett, age 74, of Parker, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, following a two-week illness. She was born on August 3, 1951, in Bela, daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy Craig Horner. Linda was a 1969 graduate of Union High School. She first married John Ferringer, Sr., on January 10, 1970, who passed away on June 13, 1988. She later married Donald Corbett in 1993, who survives. In 1992, Linda started working at Clarion University in the custodial department, where she later retired in 2011. Linda was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved reading, doing puzzles, baking, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes was watching Little House on the Prairie, which brought her much comfort and joy. Linda will be remembered for her quiet strength, her love of family, and the warmth she shared with those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. In addition to her husband, Don, Linda leaves behind her two daughters, Tina Ferringer-Cotherman and her husband, Brian, and Tracy Deas and her husband, Joseph, all of Strattanville; her son, John Ferringer, Jr. of Clarion; a step-son, Mark Corbett and his wife, Peggi, of Guys Mills; four grandchildren, Timothy Ferringer and his wife, Christin, Charisma Ferringer, Deion Deas and his significant other, Halie, and Xander Ferringer; and two great-granddaughters, Alaia and Briella, who she was a proud great-grandmother to. She also leaves behind her brother, Larry Horner, and his wife, Sally, along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and first husband, Linda was preceded in death by her six siblings, Lillian Rettig, Janet Frazier, Mary Charney, Norma Drayer, Darrell Horner, and Craig Horner. Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Burns Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. in Rimersburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, in the funeral home with Rev. Mark Deeter presiding. Interment will follow in the Rimersburg Cemetery.
