Roxanne L. Davis

Roxanne L. Davis, age 60, of Strattanville, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, February 10, 2026, at McKinley Health Center in Brookville following a lengthy illness. She was born on June 21, 1965, in Brookville to the late Clarice Wiles Wheeler. Roxanne graduated from Clarion-Limestone High School in 1983. Following graduation, she obtained her cosmetology certificate from Dubois Cosmetology School. Roxanne married her high school sweetheart and best friend, Russell “Rusty” Davis, on October 5, 1985. They shared over forty wonderful years together. She was the Strattanville Borough Secretary for 13 years, working until this past October, when her health began to decline. Prior to that, she worked at the Captain Loomis in Clarion for over twenty years. Roxanne was a former member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Strattanville. She was known for her loving personality and enjoyed cooking for her family, especially on Thanksgiving, and tending to her garden and flowers. Roxanne also always enjoyed spending time with her husband in their garage, where she sat on the bench, looking forward to people stopping by to visit. She shared her smile and encouraging words with everyone who crossed her path. Roxanne leaves behind her loving husband, Rusty; their son, Jake Davis, and his wife, Amanda, of Summerville; her sister, Rhonda Berst, and her husband, Earl, of Sylva, NC; brother, Rod Wheeler, and his wife, Tonya, of Grove City; her sister-in-law, Suzie Hartwig and her husband, Ernie, of Knox; and father-in-law, Russ Davis and his wife, Dusty, of Strattanville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many close friends. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Tammy Fingado, and mother-in-law, Shirley Davis. Roxanne’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at UPMC Northwest Hospital in Seneca and McKinley Health Care in Brookville for the excellent care and compassion they provided to Roxanne. Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion, where funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Perry Case, pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness Church, presiding. Cremation care has been entrusted to the RV Burns Crematorium, Inc. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Roxanne’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital online at www.stjude.org.
