Terry L. Leadbetter

Terry Lee Leadbetter, 64, of Corsica, passed away Thursday evening, July 10, 2025 after a brief illness. He was born on March 11, 1961 in Clarion to Sandra Ann Himes Leadbetter and the late David Howard Leadbetter. Terry attended Corsica Union School until 6th grade and then graduated from Clarion-Limestone High School in 1979. He grew up playing with many friends in the town of Corsica and working for his dad at Leadbetter Auto Body, where he learned his trade of being a mechanic and autobody repairman. Terry decided to take a break from working on cars and was employed at Brackens Construction Company and Penelec until 1996, when he began his own business venture by starting Leadbetter Enterprises and Towing in Corsica. In his 29 years of business, Terry ran small and large towing in the Clarion and Jefferson Counties, inspecting many vehicles, trailers, and motorcycles, and repairing just about every type of car. Through the years, Terry’s shop was a place for his kids (and many neighborhood kids) to grow up, friends to gather, and lessons to be learned. Saturday mornings at the shop will be missed by many. From a young age, Terry became involved in his community. During his lifetime, he served on the Union Township Board, volunteered many years for the Corsica Volunteer Fire Company, and dedicated his time to the Clarion-Limestone School Board, where he provided his expertise to the Clarion County Career Center as a representative. He was also very active with the Pisgah Presbyterian Cemetery Association and, most recently, involved in the Jefferson County EMS Board. Terry was a member of the New Bethlehem Masonic Lodge #522. He loved sports and coached his kids in baseball and flag football. In addition to his mother, Terry is survived by his son, Jacob (Jess) Leadbetter, daughter, Kelsey (Evan) Makin, four granddaughters, Everly, Clara, and Kinsley Leadbetter, and Maura Makin, his fur buddy, Duke, and his bonus son, Matt McNutt. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Leadbetter, a special uncle, Michael Leadbetter, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Family and friends will be received from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025 at the Pisgah Presbyterian Church in Corsica with Rev. Jeff Foor presiding. Interment will follow in the Pisgah Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Terry’s honor to the CL Scholastic Foundation, 4091 CL School Road, Strattanville, PA 16258.
