Vivian B Simpson

Vivian B. Simpson, 84, of Brookville, formally of Clarion County, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville. She was born on March 11, 1931 in Mayport; daughter of James K. and Vera F. Fryer Walmer. Vivian attended the Summerville and Rimersburg Schools. She was married on October 2, 1947 to Junior B. Simpson, who preceded her in death. Vivian worked for years in hospitals and nursing homes and retired from Clarion Forest VNA. She was a hard worker all of her life and enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family and grandchildren and she also loved flowers. Vivian is survived by her children, Lanny J. Simpson and wife Sharyn of Williamsburg, Virginia, Richard K. “Dick” Simpson and wife Marsha of Sligo, and Randy S. Simpson and wife Sheryl of Williamsburg, Virginia, a daughter –in-law, Jami Simpson of Clarion, a grandson, Jeffery Simpson and wife Char of Strattanville that she raised as a son, she is also survived by six other grandchildren, Angie, Jasen, Jordan, Stephanie, Stacy, and Megan, numerous great grandchildren, an aunt, Edna Clinger of Brookville, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Gary Lee Simpson and Timothy M. Simpson, one daughter, Shari L. Simpson, two infant sons, one infant daughter, two older infant sisters, and three younger brothers. Family will receive friends from 6 pm to 9 pm on Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday November 7, 2015 in the Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Evans, pastor of Clarion Forest VNA and Rev. Dan George, pastor of the Grace Community Church in Curllsville. Interment will follow in the Cedarview Memorial Park.
